BN / boron nitride powder
-ABN & BBN series -
The high quality pure hBN powders (PBN series) with different grain sizes are applicable for the production of boron nitride ceramics, as a lubricant or as a heat conducting filler. For application as filler, we have highly specific surface-modified boron nitride powder with increased compatibility with silicones (ABN series) and epoxy resin (BBN series). In addition, the GBN series: thanks to its spherical particle shape, a significantly higher filling density can be achieved, which means + 30% thermal conductivity of the end product.

BN / spherical boron nitride powder
- GBN & GBNL series -
The spherical BN (GBN and GBNL series), due to its special particle structure, has thermally isotropic properties that overcome the disadvantage of thermal anisotropy of the BN and achieve a high homogenous thermal conductivity with a low degree of filling. With the same capacity, the spherical BN can have a threefold thermal conductivity of the normal BN.

applications
As starting material for boron nitride ceramic
Thermally conductive material:
The high thermal conductivity, high filling density and low dielectric constant make hBN an ideal material for the production of thermal paste, thermally conductive plastic and printed circuit boards.
High temperature solid lubricant:
The graphite-like hexagonal modification (α-boron nitride) is used as a lubricant ("inorganic" or "white graphite"). In contrast to graphite, the friction coefficient of hexagonal boron nitride remains stable up to more than 1000 ° C, which is why it is very well suited as a high-temperature solid lubricant under vacuum.
Water treatment or purification:
A porous sponge of boron nitride is capable of absorbing about 33 times its own weight in oil and organic solvents. After burning or evaporation of the absorbed liquids, the filter sponge can be recovered unchanged. This property can be used for water treatment or purification
